3 Months! I don't know if I am happy or sad. I am happy that you are more in tune to the world around you and bight eyed and bushy tailed. But I am sad that you aren't my little petite little snuggly baby. Each day with you is bittersweet and nothing can explain what it feels like to be your parents.
Here is your stats: You are a perfect 0-3 months, but growing very quickly. You wear a size 1 diaper like a VS model wears panties. You are 9 pounds 6 ounces and 21.75 inches long. You take 4 ounces of breastmilk consistently now and sometimes you want a little more. Bad news is that mommys booby milk is going away because of some problems that my gallbladder is giving me.
Your big achievement this month is that you have found your voice and you use it often. You want to talk to us ALL THE TIME and you want us to talk to you ALL THE TIME! I love it. It is like I have a little person to tell all my secrets too. I used to get bummed living here in TN and not having any friends other than your daddy, but you are more than a friend to me now and I couldn't be happier for that.
Another big achievement this month is that you are sleeping in your bed without your bubble seat.Yay! That is mainly due to another achievement of you learning how to roll over. You have no problem rolling from belly to back. And if you give enough push off you can get from your back to your belly as long as your arms don't get in the way. Usually they do get in the way though because you won't keep them out of your mouth. I am suspicious of an early teether.
Each day your daddy and I thank our lucky stars for you. We love you so much. All of your smiles make us melt. You mean the world to us. We can't get enough of you. No matter how rough life gets your beautiful smile keeps us rolling.

8 weeks (2 Months)
OMG time is flying. I can't get enough of you. The problem is that I had to go back to work 1 day before you turned 2 months old. More on that in a minute.
Since my last post at 5 weeks you really have become so much more alert. We have started putting you in your booster seat in the kitchen with us while we make dinner and you love looking around. Mainly you like looking at your mommy and daddy, but you are kind of partial to the lights and the ceiling fan too.
You are awake more during the day and sleeping more and more at night. You still have one waking period about 2 a.m. Good news is that you eat and go right back to sleep until 5 a.m. Big thank you from your mommy. During the day you just kind of nap at your lesiure with a good hour or so nap around 11 and another one around 2.
Tummy time is your least favorite time of the day, but you have an extremely strong neck. You have mainly grown this stregth by sleeping on mommy and daddy's chests. This is your favorite spot for sleep other than your bubble seat. I hope to break that soon.
Your current stats are 8 pounds 6 ounces. We weighed you with a fishing scale from Great Grandmother and Great Grandaddy Hughes. And 20 inches or so long. You were quite a wiggle worm for me to measure you with a sewing tape. You are still wearing NB and 0-3 month clothes and they aren't looking as huge on you anymore. We have started using size 1 diapers but they are still on the big side. We have completely given up on gowns for you because you are too restless to keep them on. It has been a disaster each time we have tried to use them. You are still on breastmilk and eat 2-4 ounces every 3 hours.
Like I said before, mommy had to go back to work. I don't know who it traumatized more, me or you. You are going to a great sitter. Her name is Patty and she takes great care of you. I call EVERYDAY. I know you will get used to it but as for now you cry pretty much all day. You hate it. Mommy hates it. And Daddy hates it. Mommy cried for about the first week everyday, but I am starting to get used to things and we are both getting into a routine.
I love being your mommy. I smile so much more now that you are here in my life. God has really blessed me with a beautiful miracle and we thank Him everyday for you.

Just a Quick Post...
I just wanted to post this. I know I am a couple weeks behind on my blogging, but it is because I just can't pull myself away from this cute face. I just want to indulge myself in as much of her as I can!
Hopefully I will catch up over a long holiday weekend. But if history repeats its self I will more than likely just be enjoying my cuddling time.

5 Weeks - Wow they are just adding up!
We have had a very interesting week. We have done A LOT of relaxing but we have also had a few exciting moments. Of course you are getting bigger and better each and everyday. Duh, you are my daughter and you are totally awesome! It is the same post just a week newer. You are getting BIG and more and more awake. We didn't weigh you or anything but it is obvious (even to me, that sees you everyday) that you are getting big. I don't like it but with growth comes new experiences.
One of our exciting times this week was that it was Mother's Day. It was weird for me to think that I am a mommy this year and that this "holiday" is celebrating ME! Everyday I feel as if I am still babysitting you and that you aren't really mine and that your parents are going to pick you up at any minute. I am sure by the time you are 18 or so it will finally sink in that you ARE my daughter and that you are mine all mine. You were very sweet and thoughtful with your Mother's Day. You (and your sweet daddy) got me a couple candles, and three gift cards for mani/pedi's (one for me, one for Nana, and one for Grammy), and Snow White so we can watch it together.
Another great treat to your fifth week of life is that you were able to meet your Great Grandmother Newbill. Uncle Andrew was so sweet and brought her down for Mother's Day. The problem was that you developed a very strong cling to me in the past week that you really didn't want to go to anyone else but me. It was rough, but we managed through during your naps.

4 Weeks/1 Month
No matter how I say it you are growing. You are getting bigger, fatter, taller, more alert, sleeping less, playing more.
In the past week you have really sprouted on up. You actually fit into newborn clothes now. Socks look like socks now and not leggings. It is amazing just how much you have "filled out" in the one month that you have been alive. Don't get me wrong you are still tiny as can be and I love it, but it is highly evident that you are growing. I just started your baby book and it has a place for your weight and height each month. We went and got great-granddaddy's fishing scale and weighed you in a receiving blanket. You weight 6 pounds 14 ounces. You have gained a full pound in the first month of your life. You also gained an inch and a half because you measured right at 19.5 inches long. SO BIG! (well in comparason to a month ago) You still eat 3.5 ounces but sometimes that isn't enough to fill your hollow leg so we have to supplement here and there.
This week you have made tremendous strides in being more alert. You like to lay on the floor stretch out and play. You look at your giraffe and just "talk" to it. I can wind that thing up and let it play music about 10 times before you get tired of laying there and want something new to do, which is usually sleep. Playing on the floor really tuckers you out.
You have really been sleeping less during the day and saving it for at night. You eat your 11p.m. feeding and usually don't wake up again until your 5a.m. feeding. This mommy will take it. However, it is well known that the strongest muscles on your little body is your forehead. You don't want to miss a thing and fight sleep until its death!! It is getting harder and harder for mommy and daddy to convince you that sleeping is a good thing and that you won't miss a thing.

We painted your toe nails light pink...
You really started to like this seat and help mommy cook dinner in it...
You started sleeping in your bed day and night, but we still can't get you to give up your "bubble seat"...
See I told you that you were starting to chunk up...this is your first fat roll...
I see these pretty blue things more and more each day because you are sleeping less...
These are your official 1 month mommy/daughter photo shoot:
